Born in London, I trained as a drama teacher and went on to perform small-scale theatre in London and Paris.
I became interested in the possibilities of creative activities in, and for, Communities, and set up and ran several successful Arts Projects. . My belief in the benefits of music literature and art deeply influenced my approach when more recently I managed Education initiatives for young people in NHS Mental Health Services.
My commitment to promoting emotional health through creativity continued when I retrained as a psychotherapist.
I gained a Postgraduate Diploma with Distinction in Psychoanalytic Observational Studies from the University of Northumbria, and the Professional Diploma In Art Therapy from The University of Leeds.
My influences include Melanie Klein, Winnicott, Bowlby and Jung.
I find inspiration in the Survivor Movement and empowerment through joining with others who have similar experiences.
I have found strength in and through
survival and fellowship. From observing both myself and others, I have discovered that each of us
grows and thrives in our own way.
My role as a psychotherapist is to provide a reflective space, my listening presence, and support for the unique journey of each client.
